Finding China

Finding China
My name is Gina  I live in Auckland. I have an amazing story to tell!  I've always wanted to go to China, In Shanghai so that's when I told my parents. My mum and dad said, “ yes”  and me and my family were excited.

When I got to china I could not speak Mandarin but then I got used to the language and  could respond back in Mandarin! It took me a few days to settle into China. The school there was challenging and difficult most specially learning the language.  My parents worked alot in Auckland so I boarded in school. There were two problems one of them was the lack of privacy for there were no doors for the toilets! But it was fine cause we were all girls unfortunately for the boys there was worse and when I say worse I mean worse there were tissues everywhere and the taps were dripping and so the girls could not sleep while the tap was dripping. The second problem was… I had no friends literally. But I had found a solution to that I mingled and that's how I made a friend.

The school cafeteria food is yuck back  in Auckland I would have had  rice and mince with vegetables and meat mmm… And the school beds had bugs I tell you bugs! so thats why I got… Itchy bites. Back home I would not have itchy bites. Well you see what
I had to live with!!!

That was my experience of finding China.

Dolfino

Dolfino

The Dolfino eats seaweed and dry grass.
It lives on dry land near the sea.
It survives by eating or fighting anything that comes in its way.
This Dolfino has a long mouth sort of like a kiwi but its shorter.
Its body is so fluffy like cotton wool.
Its tail is blonde like human hair.
I am so excited of this animal because of its name and I can share it with others.

Marie Curies experience

  Marie Curie’s experience
Marie Curie was a Polish girl and half French. She was born in 7th November 1867. Marie Curie was curious to find out what x-rays mean. A few weeks later, her experiments lead her to her theory. She did not mind being the first lady to get a doctor's degree. The atom is the tiniest most basic building block. In the universe, people believed it would be stable and unbreakable but  Marie Curie believed x-rays came from the Uranium atom.
People doubted her because they thought she was wrong.  Marie discovered a radioactive material called radium, she had found a new element! To find radium Marie Curie did the work of scientist and a slave for sometime. She was curious  this. She would gather wood for an outside fire, then put a giant pot on top. She would treat each ton of rock with a bucket of water, 5 or 6 tons of burning acid, Then she would stir it with a big metal spoon and the mixture itself burnt  Marie Curie with lightning then she decided to mix it inside the fumes got tense, but she did not give up.

Marie curie was the first ever lady to get her doctors degree. She was humble and a true role model she pursued her dreams, until she died.
